In Singapore, AECOM is providing macro-level strategic planning for smart new towns, to designing critical civil infrastructure, AECOM has been playing a significant role in many of Singapore’s iconic infrastructure developments. These include Jurong Innovation District, Marina Bay and Greater Southern Waterfront, Deep Tunnel Sewerage System Phase 2, Integrated Waste Management Facility, Changi Airport Terminals 4 and 5, and Singapore Sports Hub.
 
In 1985, AECOM, through its legacy company, established its Singapore office to capitalise on the country’s strong local and international talent base, and better serve its multinational clients here. AECOM Singapore also serves as regional headquarters for the organisation’s Southeast Asia operations, which comprises a 1,500-strong workforce. Leveraging its presence in Singapore, AECOM has managed to work with government clients regionally to deliver on high-profile infrastructure projects such as the Rapid Transit System between Singapore and Johor as well as the MRT Orange Line project in Thailand.
 
More recently, in line with the government’s call for businesses to accelerate digitalisation, AECOM Singapore stepped up its efforts to transform its workforce and workflows. The company established a Digital Transformation programme that has upskilled its draftsmen, empowering them to take on more sophisticated modelling tools such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) and chart new career paths. AECOM has also introduced digital workflow processes and created digital hubs to facilitate better project collaboration with clients.
