Call for Collaboration for the Pilot Deployment of Autonomous Buses and Shuttles in Singapore

The Land Transport Authority of Singapore (“LTA”) and the Singapore Economic Development Board (“EDB”) have launched a Call for Collaboration (“CFC”) to invite interested companies/consortiums to submit proposals to collaborate on the pilot deployment of autonomous buses and shuttles in Punggol, Tengah and the Jurong Innovation District.

This CFC is a follow-up from the request for information launched in Nov 2017, and also builds on the various autonomous vehicle (AV) trials conducted in Singapore in recent years. Through the CFC, LTA and EDB are keen to partner companies/consortiums with the requisite capabilities to: (a) establish AV research and development, product development, and commercial capabilities in Singapore; and (b) pilot the deployment of AVs for public transport.

The CFC will be managed by the AV Industry Development Office (“AVIDO”), which is jointly set up by LTA and EDB. Companies/consortiums interested to participate in the CFC must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement in order to receive the CFC document. Companies/consortiums with the requisite capabilities listed above may email LTA_AVIDO@lta.gov.sg to obtain a copy of the relevant documents.

The CFC will close on 30 April 2019. All CFC responses must be submitted by this closing date to AVIDO according to the instructions stipulated in the CFC document.

For enquiries, please contact: LTA_AVIDO@lta.gov.sg

Updated on 12 April 2019, 17:00: The deadline for the submission of the CFC proposal has been extended to 31 July 2019. AVIDO will not accept any request for the CFC document after 15 April 2019, 17:00.
