TechnipFMC, then known as two separate companies: the French-owned Technip and the American-owned FMC Technologies, first opened its doors in Singapore in 1975. Singapore has since progressed to become an Oil & Gas engineering and manufacturing hub for TechnipFMC’s Surface and Subsea business lines.
TechnipFMC is a global leader in subsea, onshore/offshore, and surface projects. With its proprietary technologies and production systems, integrated expertise, and comprehensive solutions, it is transforming its clients' project economics, and constantly challenging itself as well as the practices of the Oil & Gas industry: reinventing its technology and approach to projects and innovating end-to-end for better efficiency.
Primarily located at Gul Circle, TechnipFMC’s office in Singapore is the headquarters for Surface International (SI), a unit within TechnipFMC’s Surface Technologies business. It offers high technology equipment for Drilling, Completion, Production and Pressure Control segments. TechnipFMC Singapore spans over 7,340 sqm of offices, 706 sqm of Research & Development (R&D) labs and a 18,950 sqm manufacturing facility.
Singapore also serves as a base for TechnipFMC’s Asia R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing hubs with in-house sourcing teams. With its in-house high technology manufacturing facilities incorporating machining, weld cladding, assembly and test capabilities, TechnipFMC supports a significant global volume of orders, and has the capacity to manufacture more than 1,200 block valves and tubing hangers annually. The manufacturing hub focuses on manufacturing operations and will move towards manufacturing R&D work in the foreseeable future. In addition, Singapore houses its Global Employment and Finance Services Hub operations.
